Okay soo i wanna kno if any of u guys kno of sum sites where u can win a cool digital camera w/out obligation to pay for n e thing. Well, in case u don’t kno y i’m askin, i’m askin cuz i need one really quickly. i’ve been camera-less for a while now and frankly, i’m going crazy dude!! lol. But yeh my unk from Cali is coming home this week but i’ve asked other family members if they’d possibly buy me one but they said they didn’t have the money for it. Idk wut to do!! i luv the Casio Exilim S10 and that the one i want but i have no way of getting it. Obviously i don’t work (which is b/c my dad won’t lemme). He’s a doofus, but lemme jus get off that cuz thats a whole nother topic.

WELL plz help!! i mean this is an EMERGENCY.

I think you have your texting mixed up with the literate way people express themselves on the net.
I doubt that your need for a camera is an ‘EMERGENCY’.

i just got a regular digital camera. in about an hour or so of turning it on & off and taking various pictures, the batteries (that came included with it) ran out. I put brand-new duracell batteries in there, and used it 3 or 4 times just turning on & off to look and show pictures, and now those batteries are bad! so, what is a good option for that camera? Someone told me to get rechargable batteries. I have some, but will they last any longer in there? (so i don’t continuously have to recharge every time i use it.) is there any better alternative??? That really works. Muchas Gracias.

get a set of NiMH rechargeable batteries and a charger – they will last much longer than the regular alkaline batteries.

I really have two questions. One is about how digital cameras actually capture images and create image files. The other is about how cameras end up taking rectangular pictures. I mean, if you look at cameras. the lenses are circular, so how do they end up taking rectangular pictures, and why? Why are movies and photos always square, rather than circular?

well;; yes the LENS are circular. but the object inside the lens that actually captures the photo inside is a square, rectangular shape. the lens are circular so that the camera could get a 360 degree look at the object that the camera is capturing.

I’m looking to buy a digital camera with at least 12MP, no less. I’ve been looking at the Kodak EasyShare V1233 and the Nikon Coolpix P5100. The kodak seems to be getting a lot of bad reviews on Google sites. What is your opinion?

my opinion is 12mp point and shoots should be 8mp so the little sensors they have dont generate as much noise

EDIT: for sharp images you need a sharp lens, so look at lens quality first, megapixels only matter if you wish to crop your images alot or do big prints.

dont get conned into more megapixels means better pictures….if the lens is soft you will just get more mega pixels of softness……

What is the best way to store digital photography for a professional photographer? When an external hard drive doesn’t give you the most assurance, and burning 4-10 CD’s for each folder doesn’t sound too good, what is the best way? Please include any how-to links to any techniques. Thanks!
I am storing on a Terabyte external hard drive, but I’m wondering if Zipping the files and burning them would be a good option also… ?

I store mine on a terabyte hard drive which is then backed up using carbonite (www.carbonite.com).

A good average consumer camera, that has good quality photos and has high reliability reviews would be the Samsung Sl420:
